Searching for Heroes I can remember one summer as a child, crying to my mother that I had no friends. My mother said, "Look for something you can like in everyone you meet. Building the Circle one stone at a time! by Jane tHerrick The idea for beginning Stone Circle came to me as I thought about my mother, a month after she passed away, in 1997. I imagined a stone circle that represented the strength of all women; a supportive group of women, a resource for them that could grow. As I sat at my computer, my Mom was my inspiration as I wrote about my dream of what Stone Circle could be. Stone Circle operates as a nonprofit entity. Stone Circle's presence in Florida is a faith filled undertaking inspired by the desire to enhance the feminine milieu; for women of the 21st century. We rely on the generosity of friends and those who participate in programs. At the same time, women who cannot give an offering are always welcome and even encouraged to participate. |
